Greeting

I hope this letter finds all of you well, and we thank you for your continued support in connection with our hometown Kagoshima.
This year we are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Meiji Restoration – the political and economic revolution that brought the modernization of Japan. This brings a good opportunity for us to celebrate our Kagoshima roots together, among 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generations as well as those who live in Kagoshima and the rest of Japan.
The Kagoshima Global KIZUNA (`bonding`) Assembly is holding a meeting in November to further expand and nurture the Kagoshima network.
The KIZUNA project was conceived last September by the Kagoshima Chamber of Commerce and other economic organizations of Kagoshima; Kagoshima prefecture; the Kagoshima Mayoral Office and other municipal offices and journalistic organizations.
Enclosed with this letter is the event program for Kagoshima Global KIZUNA Assembly. We invite you, your friends and family, natives of Kagoshima and new arrivals to Kagoshima and Japan to attend. Please help us spread the word among your community – we hope to have as many attendees as possible.
We, the Kagoshima people, are looking forward to seeing you in November. We would be so happy if you can make Kagoshima your new home.
